On August 26, 2021, the Federal Court of Canada ordered Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to pay $2,500 to the applicant, Mr. Charles Obafemi who applied for a work permit and visitor visa in Nigeria on September 13, 2019, to join his wife in Canada. Due to an error made by the visa officer, an unnecessary delay occurred and prevented the applicant to join his wife in Canada for far too long.
