Nova Scotia released its 2020 immigration statistics

On December 29, 2020, Nova Scotia published its 2020 immigration statistics. In 2020, Nova Scotia approved 3,517 applications, 225 applications more than it was allocated by the federal government. 1,617 cases were processed in the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIPP) and 1,900 under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP). IRCC published new instructions about IEC-recognized organizations

On December 29, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) updated the program delivery instructions related to recognized organizations for foreign youth under the framework of the International Experience Canada (IEC). The GO International Work & Travel Providers are no longer offering work and travel services for Youth from Brazil and Ecuador. In addition, IRCC clarified that recognized organizations applicants from Youth Mobility Agreement (YMA) countries are processed under the same service standards as regular YMA applicants not using the services of a recognized organization.

As of December 2020, Canada has about 100,000 illegal immigrants. This is just a fraction compared to the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the US. Before President Trump started deporting undocumented immigrants, the number was 13 million.
