IRCC introduced further temporary measures for PGWP eligibility

On August 26, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced three new measures on Post-Graduate Work Permit eligibility for international students. Those foreign students whose programs starts from May to September 2020 with the duration of 8-12 month can complete their study online without losing eligibility for PGWP. Sudbury has invited 12 candidates in the RNIP

On August 22, 2020, the City of Greater Sudbury conducted the fourth invitation round in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this draw, Sudbury invited 12 candidates and the lowest score to receive the invitation was 225 points, 10 points less than in the May 22 draw. The tie-breaking rule was July 10, 2020. All invited candidates can now submit an application for a community recommendation. In total, Sudbury invited 30 candidates since the launch of the program.

Saskatchewan invited 570 Occupations In-Demand candidates

On August 26, 2020, Saskatchewan conducted a new round of invitations in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). In this round, SINP issued invitations to apply (ITA) for the provincial nomination only to candidates in the Occupations In-Demand category. In total, SINP invited 570 candidates.
