OINP nominated 5,159 foreign nationals in 2021
On June 10, 2021, the Ontario government posted a new update on the issuance of nomination certificates in the framework of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). To date, Ontario nominated 5,159 candidates, 1,150 certificates of nomination more compared to the previous update on May 13. Last year, OINP issued invitations to 16,976 candidates and nominated 8,050 main applicants, including 7,249 spouses and dependent children. The quota for 2021 allocated by the federal is 8,350 spots, as well as an additional 250 nominations specifically for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations (NOC C).
