Statistics Canada released a new report on the country’s population growth

As of July 1, 2020, Canada had a population of 38,005,238. That number is the highest it has ever been and grew by 411,854 from the previous year. Between 2018 and 2019, population growth was higher, at nearly 530,000. This new figure is the lowest of Canada’s population growth has been from 2015 to 2016. The country finally reached more than 38 million people last year, mainly due to international immigration, which accounted for 337,283 new Canadians.
