Alberta is releasing the last nominations of the year
On December 8, 2020, Alberta has updated statistics of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). Since November 24, Alberta issued only 6 nominations to foreign nationals allowing them to apply for permanent residence under the AINP. As of now, Alberta issued 3,988 nomination certificates and almost reached the self-established threshold of 4,000 nominations. Following the high unemployment rate in the province, Alberta has reduced the number of nominations from the 6,250 nominations. Currently, AINP received 2,175 applications in the Alberta Opportunity Stream and 15 Expressions of Interest (EOI) in the Alberta Express Entry Stream that are waiting for the eligibility assessment.
