Almost 52.3% of the Ontario Nominees came from India
52.3% of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) nominees in 2020 came from India. Chinese nominees accounted for almost 16.7% of Ontario nominations. All the other countries left far behind in 2020. The top ten for 2020 in the OINP included:
- India – 4,212
- China – 1,350
- Brazil – 310
- South Korea – 276
- Nigeria – 159
- Pakistan – 111
- Morocco – 106
- Philippines – 88
- Iran – 79
- Vietnam – 74
The rest of 1,289 out of 8,054 nominations were distributed between nationals of the other countries.
