Around 60 percent of all IRCC clients inadmissible on health grounds were from four Asian countries

Two-thirds of all IRCC clients who were inadmissible on health grounds related to excessive demand were from four Asian countries: the Philippines – 32%, India – 14%, China – 13%, and Iran – 7%. These countries were followed by South Korea, Pakistan, Egypt, Romania, Bangladesh, and Burundi, accounting for 14% of inadmissible clients. Nearly half of all clients inadmissible on health grounds related to excessive demand had chronic liver or kidney disease, while one-fourth of inadmissible clients possessed cognitive, behavioural, or nervous system disorders (23%).
