Canada accepted the second charter flight for Ukrainian nationals

On May 29, 2022, the Government of Canada announced the arrival of the second charter flight carrying Ukrainian nationals. 306 Ukrainians and their families arrived in Montreal and were welcomed by Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Quebec, and Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). On May 23, 2022, the first charter flight brought 328 Ukrainians to Winnipeg, Manitoba. The third charter is scheduled for June 2, 2022, to arrive in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The charters were open to Ukrainian nationals and their family members who had been accepted through the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program. Temporary housing will be provided for passengers who arrive on the three charter flights.
