Canada facilitates work permits processing for agriculture workers
On May 1, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated the instructions regarding the processing of work permits for agriculture-related foreign workers in the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program (SAWP) and the Agricultural Stream (non-SAWP). Given the importance of agriculture and food processing industry amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, these workers contribute an important impact to the national food security.
