Canada introduced a two-step process for TRP applications
On July 21, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the new program delivery updates for processing applications for the temporary resident permits (TRPs). The new updates are related to victims of trafficking. Effective now, IRCC introduced a two-step decision-making process. The new instructions clarify the aspects of application processing, the issuance of short-term and long-term temporary resident permits (TRPs), the collection of biometrics, and other details.
