Canada set a new record inviting 5,000 candidates in one Express Entry draw

On November 18, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the largest draw in the history of Express Entry. In round #167, Canada invited 5,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence. The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round dropped by 6 points and reached 472. The tie-breaking rule for this round was October 27, 2020, at 06:18:11 UTC. As of November 16, 2020, there are 146,965 profiles in the Express Entry pool of candidates, 1,505 profiles fewer compared to the previous update. At the moment, there are about 5,000 candidates in the pool whose score is above 470 points. As result, we expect the drop of points required for getting the ITA in the next few rounds. In total, Canada invited 92,350 candidates in 34 rounds in 2020.
