Canada updated resettlement program delivery instructions
On June 12, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada announced new updates for the resettlement program delivery instructions for resettlement applicants who are exempt from the travel ban provided by the Order-in-Council from March 18, 2020. Travel documents can be issued only to those resettlement applicants who meet the travel ban exemption. The instruction clarifies the difference in regulations for those whose application has been approved on or before March 18, 2020, for those who are in immediate need for protection (Urgent Protection Program), and for those who have immediate family members in Canada.
