Canada wins, U.S. loses in the global fight for high-tech workers

According to the study by the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) at Georgetown University, Canada is winning a competition for global tech talent with the United States. The authors discovered that Toronto experienced the biggest growth in technology jobs than any other city in North America over the past five years, including San Francisco, New York and Seattle. Moreover, Vancouver is also in the top five. The tech industry across Canada is booming. Within the last five years, Canada has adopted major immigration reforms to attract talent in AI and other technical fields. The USA always attracted innovative foreign entrepreneurs but at the moment it does not offer an entrepreneur visa while Canada developed several entrepreneur programs at a national and regional level.
