Claresholm received 11,000 profiles of prospective candidates

The demand for immigration to the town of Claresholm in Alberta significantly exceeds the supply. The Claresholm Economic Development Committee (CEDC), the municipal body responsible for the management of the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) in Claresholm, reported about receiving over 11,000 profiles of foreign national wishing to immigrate to Claresholm. The registration was opened on February 14, 2020. Earlier, the authorities of Claresholm announced they will recommend only twenty profiles in 2020 despite the quota of up to 100 candidates annually. Nevertheless, next year CEDC may re-evaluate the quota and increase the number of community recommendations.
