ESDC released new processing times for LMIA applications
Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) has updated the processing times for the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications under various streams. Based on statistics from different processing centres, the current average LMIA processing times decreased for agricultural streams and the PR stream, and increased for high-wage, low-wage and caregivers compared to April:
- Global Talent Stream – 13 business days
- Agricultural stream – 15 business days (2 days less)
- Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program – 10 business days (1 day less)
- Permanent residence stream – 16 business days (5 days less)
- In-home caregivers – 17 business days (2 days more)
- High-wage stream – 32 business days (3 days more)
- Low-wage stream – 40 business days (6 days more)
