ESDC updated processing times of LMIA applications
On June 5, 2020, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) updated the processing times of the Labour Market Impact Assessment applications (LMIA). As of May 2020, average LMIA processing times were:
- Global Talent Stream – 14 business days
- Agricultural stream – 14 business days
- Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program – 5 business days
- Permanent residence stream – 29 business days
- In-home caregivers – 10 business days
- High-wage stream – 35 business days
- Low-wage stream – 34 business days
