Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), the governmental body responsible for the assessment of Labour Market Impact Assessment applications (LMIA) updated the processing times for applications under various streams. Current average LMIA processing times are:
- Global Talent Stream – 14 business days
- Agricultural stream – 14 business days
- Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program – 7 business days
- Permanent residence stream – 52 business days
- In-home caregivers – 13 business days
- High-wage stream – 52 business days
- Low-wage stream – 50 business days
