International students regarding applications for post-graduation work permits

On December 17, 2020, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published an update for international students regarding their applications for Post-Graduate Work Permits (PGWP). Those international students whose study permit and Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) expire on December 31, 2020, and who will graduate, will maintain a legal status enabling them to keep working while their PGWP application is under review. If international students do not yet receive the documents about the completion of their program, they still will be able to keep working if they apply for PGWP to IRCC before December 31, 2020, and enclose the letter of explanation for submitting an incomplete application.
