IRCC begin to process Temporary Resident Visas
On June 8, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), announced about resuming processing of the temporary resident visas (TRVs) and electronic travel authorizations (eTAs). TRV applications will be prioritized for foreign nationals who can travel based on the current travel restrictions; IRCC also noted that it resumes processing both new and old applications. On April 10, Canada suspended the processing of non-essential visitor visa (TRV) applications, as well as the eTA applications. At the moment, the full reopening of the borders may happen on July 1, 2020, when the restricting measures will expire. Nevertheless, at the moment there are no announcements on the issue.
