IRCC has updated Work Permit instructions
On September 11, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated work permits-related instructions. The government has included guidance on persons determined by Health Canada to be providing an essential service while in Canada and who may be exempt from work permit. IRCC also added instructions temporarily allowing visitors in Canada to apply for an employer-specific work permit. Other minor updates have been added throughout the instructions to provide further clarity.
