IRCC introduced further temporary measures for PGWP eligibility

On August 26, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced three new measures on Post-Graduate Work Permit eligibility for international students. Those foreign students whose programs starts from May to September 2020 with the duration of 8-12 month can complete their study online without losing eligibility for PGWP. Students whose program starts from May to September 2020 and will study remotely by April 30, 2021, and who studied in an eligible program before are allowed to combine the length of their study for PGWP eligibility but not more than 50% of the total studies online. Study permit applications must be submitted before the program start (including programs that begin in Winter 2021 term) to be eligible for those temporary measures.
