IRCC updated the instruction on physical presence calculation

On December 8, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated example 2 of the instructions on how to correctly calculate physical presence before becoming a permanent resident of Canada for individuals who received their status on or after October 11, 2017. Permanent residents who obtained the status after October 11, 2017, must accumulate 1095 days of physical presence in Canada to be eligible for citizenship. Applicants who were in Canada as foreign workers or international students before becoming PRs can gain 365 days maximum for every two days as temporary residents with valid status.
