Licensed Chinese Canadian immigration consultants lobbied the reform of the OINP

On September 8, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) announced amendments to the “Ontario Immigration Law”, specifically to the Employer Job Offer, Master’s, and Ph.D. streams. The program is to adopt a new expression of interest (EOI) system. The All Canada Association of Chinese Immigration Consultants (ACACIC) welcomes and supports this important and wise decision. At the beginning of 2020, ACACIC submitted a joint letter, proposing to abolish the selection of applicants through the method of rushing for spots and have the opportunity to have a face-to-face meeting with the special working group of the Ontario government on February 28. It is believed that this initiative launched by the Ontario Nomination Office can be attributed at least in part to the petition and initiative in February. The services of ACACIC are authorized by the Canadian Immigration Act. The association works with the Canadian government and regulatory agencies to educate and encourage the public to make wise choices when considering immigration issues, hiring consultants, and to stay away from unlicensed immigration advisors.
