More international students would choose Canada over the US
In the last few days, the Trump administration first adopted a controversial law preventing international students from entering the country if their program is online, and then was forced to cancel it. Nevertheless, the signal was clear and more international students are expected to come to Canada instead of the USA. According to IRCC, Canada welcomed 30,785 international students in May, 40% more compared to 27,810 in the same month last year. The number of international students entering Canada has been rising for five years in a row.
