Newfoundland and Labrador released a new immigration-related report

On July 30, 2020, Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) released the Report on the Settlement Outcomes Survey. The goal of this document is to present the observations of the government in assessing its immigration policies and especially in understanding the settlement experiences of newcomers to the province. The OIM plans to use the findings to adjust settlement programs in Newfoundland and Labrador. Following ‘The Way Forward’ strategic plan, Newfoundland and Labrador plans to admit 1,700 immigrants annually by 2022 through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) which has been operated for almost twenty years.
