Ontario opened the Regional Immigration Pilot
On July 9, 2020, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has opened the intake of the applications under the new OINP Regional Immigration Pilot (OINP RIP). This provincial immigration pathway enables local employers from the designated communities to hire foreign workers to cover the labour shortages. Currently, three communities of Chatham-Kent, Cornwall, and Quinte West/Belleville participate in the pilot. The application to the OINP RIP is available by email. So far, Ontario allocated 150 spots for the pilot.
