Ontario received the 2020 nomination allocation

On June 3, 2020, the Federal government has finally allocated the nomination quota Ontario can proceed in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). This year, the provincial immigration authorities can nominate 7,350 foreign nationals to apply for permanent residence in Ontario. This number does not include family members of the primary applicants. In addition, Ontario was allocated 250 nominations under the federal NOC C initiative to nominate workers in the intermediate skill level occupations. In 2020, Ontario has a room for 7,600 nominations. As of May 14, 2020, the province nominated 2,623 candidates. Last year, OINP nominated 7,391 principal applicants and in total admitted 13,731 foreign nationals through the OINP.
