Ontario used all spots in the OINP for 2020

On December 17, 2020, the Ontario government announced it reached its PNP allocation for 2020. In total, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has invited 16,976 candidates in 29 invitation rounds. Among them, 6,716 received invitations under the Human Capital Priorities Stream (including 4,385 in the Tech Draws), 902 under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream, 1,464 under the Skilled Trades Stream, 131 under the Entrepreneur Stream. In addition, 1215 candidates registered in the Master Graduates Stream, and 6,548 under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Workers and International Students streams. Unfortunately, OINP did not release the numbers of applications in the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream and Ph.D. Graduates Stream. In total, Ontario issued 8,050 nominations across all streams, including 400 additional nominations received in the reallocation from the Federal government and 50 nominations under the federal NOC C initiative. OINP will continue assessing applications and issuing nominations under the 2021 nomination allocation.
