Prince Edward Island is ready to accept Ukrainian families through the government-assisted refugee program
On March 1, 2022, Prince Edward Island’s Premier Dennis King announced readiness to work with the Federal Government to accept Ukrainian families through the government-assisted refugee program. The province donated $50,000 to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal Fund to support Ukraine. In addition, the province also will raise the Ukrainian flag at the Provincial Administration Buildings for the next seven days and illuminate the Shaw Buildings facing Rochford Street in the colours of the flag of Ukraine.
