The Internal IRCC audit suggested creating more precise guidelines for pilot programs

On July 18, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) released an internal memo recommending the development of explicit pilot program guidelines in response to the thorough audit conducted by the Internal Audit and Accountability Branch in March 2022. Since April 2013, the Government of Canada has established eleven pilot programs. One of these programs has become permanent, three are in the process of transforming into permanent programs, and another three have been replaced or redesigned. Currently, Canada has only four active pilots.
