Universities plan to have online classes this fall

This fall, most Canadian universities and colleges will have classes online. Several dozens of educational institutions have already announced that and many more will do that in the coming weeks. It is worth noting that the international student sector provides over $20 billion in revenue for Canada every year. Universities and colleges face great losses as the pandemic and the closed borders reduce the number of new students. Online study mode may help to reduce the losses of educational institutions caused by the COVID-19. At the same time, studying from their home countries may have another issue, as Canadian study material can be censored in other countries. Nevertheless, education experts hope this complex of measures will help educational institutions and the federal government is working to ensure that the number of hours required to get a Post Graduate Work Permit does not affect international students living outside Canada.
