Quebec skill workers can now apply for the bridging open work permit

On September 16, 2021, the Government of Canada updated guidance for the bridging open work permit (BOWP) applications. Now, foreign nationals under the Quebec skilled worker class (QSWC) can apply for BOWP if they have passed a completeness check under section 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) and meet other eligibility requirements. Health Canada changed the names of the vaccines

Health Canada has made brand name changes for the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines. As of now, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is renamed to Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty, the name of the Moderna vaccine has been changed to Moderna Spikevax, and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be named AstraZeneca Vaxzevria. According to the Labour Market Bulletin prepared by the Government of Canada, which analyzed Labour Force Survey results of Manitoba, employment in the province increased in July, up 7,400 to 654,800. The analysis highlights some occupations that have increased in demand in the province due to the pandemic.
