Canada admitted only 143,465 new permanent residents in 2020
Canada’s new permanent resident intake is getting back on track despite the coronavirus pandemic. New Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) data show Canada welcomed 15,025 new immigrants in September 2020. This is low compared with the 35,000 immigrants Canada welcomed in September 2019 but increased from 11,330 immigrants in August 2020. So far, Canada admitted only
